I came for the light and stayed for the shadows
Feb 4, 9 pm. DNCB in collaboration with Nocturne Blue and the Texas Theatre presents I Came for the Light and Stayed for the Shadows - an interdisciplinary performance incorporating live electronic music, projections, and dance. The work will explore changing perceptions as they relate to time and perspective through the use of repeating forms and phrases. Nocturne Blue features German composer Markus Reuter (Crimson ProjeCKt) utilizing live looping techniques with an 8 string guitar of his own design and visuals by Emmy-winning producer Dutch Rall. Choreography by Danielle Georgiou, Director of Best of Big D's winning dance company, the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group and DNCB Artistic Director, Emilie Skinner. The performance will be filmed for the upcoming web series 'Bishop Arts Live'. Screening of Solaris will follow the performance.
